Sony Capture and Create 2010 Pro Event Preview

Sony Canada held a preview night for their annual Capture and Create event.

Highlights:

• See the PMW-F3 hands on! The PMW-F3 is a new affordable Super35mm CMOS imager camera designed for a broad range of production applications and which can record to Sony SxS media or an external RGB recorder. Be amongst the first to learn of all the advanced features and benefits these cameras will bring to the production market. See demo footage shoot with the camera. Pricing and release dates also announced.
  
• Sony also had the SRW-9000PL on display. The SRW-9000PL is the first Cine Alta shoulder mount camcorder featuring a true Super 35mm RGB CCD imager with full HDCAM SR 4:4:4 capability built in.
  
• On display was the recently released PMW-500. The PMW-500 is the first Sony 2/3" PowerHAD FX CCD based shoulder mount memory which records our high quality 50 MPEG HD422 video as MXF files on SxS memory cards.
• Sony also showed off a new 3D Shoulder Mount Concept Camera. As of yet, there is no information on when the camera will be released, or what specs it will have.
